Live Report: ベランダ “夜明け生まれの人たち vol.09” with タデクイ at Shibuya O-nest

A report from the two-man show ベランダ presents “夜明け生まれの人たち vol.09” at Shibuya O-nest on July 11, 2026: タデクイ’s unexpectedly thick three-piece sound and ベランダ’s warm, gentle set.

On July 11, 2026, I went to ベランダ presents “夜明け生まれの人たち vol.09,” a two-man show with タデクイ at Shibuya O-nest. It was a truly superb two-man show.

About the two bands

タデクイ is a three-piece formed in 2021 by childhood friends from the Akanko lakeside area of Kushiro, Hokkaido. They now live in Sapporo and still play in Tokyo regularly. They played SUMMER SONIC 2024 as part of 出れんの!?サマソニ!?, released several singles, and put out their first album, 「MOTHER」, in February 2026.

ベランダ formed in Kyoto in 2014. They released the albums 「ANY LUCK TO YOU」 in 2017 and 「Anywhere You Like」 in 2018, then moved to Tokyo in 2019, just as COVID arrived. A member left in 2021, which made for a hard stretch, and in 2024 they released their third album, 「Spirit」.

What I like about ベランダ is the combination of plain, universal good melodies and lyrics about someone who feels a little different from everyone else and struggles with it. The songs never push you away. They sit quietly beside the muddled part of yourself, and I find real gentleness in that. At their shows, Takashima’s (高島) down-to-earth personality comes through in the MC and makes you feel warm. The rhythm section is steady, and every so often Tazawa’s (田澤) guitar explodes. ベランダ may be the only band where I go to a show mainly to watch the guitarist, which says how much I love Tazawa’s guitar.

What I saw

タデクイ

タデクイ played first. Every time I see them, I think the sound is much thicker than you would expect from a three-piece. It may come down to how well each of them plays, but the wall of sound is impressive.

Three songs stood out for me: 「夢を見ながら」, 「グレア」 and 「舟」.

「グレア」 was a very thrilling performance, and the energy of the vocalist, Shimokura (下倉), was higher than usual, which stayed with me. 「舟」 was overwhelming and grabbed me by the heart. I cried.

To be honest, I was a little worried going in. タデクイ had played so well that I thought, “it must be hard to follow a set like that.”

I did not need to worry at all. The two bands’ respect for each other and the way they push each other made it a really good day, and it reminded me how much the other band on the bill matters.

ベランダ’s set had a warm, relaxed feel, with moments like Tazawa strumming hard on the guitar, and the balance of the band was very good. If I had to name one thing about their live shows, it would be a sense of happiness and kindness that comes through all the way. When it was over, I felt like being kind to everyone and everything.

It was the best kind of two-man show, and I left with a very good feeling.

News from ベランダ

ベランダ have announced that their 1st album, 『Any Luck to You』, will be released on vinyl. The album turns 10 in January 2027, and the 12" record will be released to mark the anniversary through FLAKE SOUNDS, the label run by the record shop FLAKE RECORDS.

To go with the release, they will play two one-man shows in November 2026 and sell the record in advance at each venue.
