What it's like
With room for 250, O-nest is a mid-sized room that still feels close to the stage. The venue describes itself as an all-genre live house, and the shows range from rock and punk to pop and other music events. It also hosts overseas artists on tour. Besides the main live floor, there's a bar floor with its own bar counter, which gives you somewhere to wait or cool off between sets.
One big plus for visitors: the venue has 90 coin lockers, which is a convenient feature if you're coming straight from sightseeing with a bag.
How to get there
O-nest is in the Maruyamacho area, in the same building as O-WEST. Listings give these walking times:
- Shinsen Station (Keio Inokashira Line): about 3 to 4 minutes
- Shibuya Station, Tokyo Metro (Exit A0): about 5 minutes
- Shibuya Station, Keio Inokashira Line (West Exit): about 6 minutes
- Shibuya Station, JR (Hachiko Gate): about 7 to 9 minutes
The building has a Lawson convenience store on the ground floor, which is a handy landmark. Look for the O-WEST building and head up to the 6F entrance. Since the neighborhood is a maze of small streets, search for "Spotify O-nest" in your map app too.
