Shimokitazawa CLUB Que Guide: A Station-Side Rock Venue Since 1994
What first-time visitors need to know about CLUB Que in Shimokitazawa: how to get there, capacity, late-night events, tickets and practical tips.
CLUB Que (クラブキュー) is one of Shimokitazawa's long-running live houses. It opened in October 1994, reopened after a renovation in July 2015, and sits just a few minutes from the station. Rock bands are at the heart of its schedule, and on weekends it turns into a late-night DJ club. If you want to catch a gig in Shimokitazawa without a long walk, Que is an easy first choice.

What it's like
CLUB Que is a basement venue with room for roughly 280 people, which puts it among the bigger small venues in Shimokitazawa. It has a long track record with rock bands, and the shows we list here range from indie rock and punk to acoustic sets and tribute nights. Many bands play Que as part of a tour, and plenty of local acts use it for their own events.
On weekends, the venue runs late-night rock and DJ events after the evening shows. Listings also mention a bar time from around 23:00 on some nights, though not on Fridays, Saturdays, nights before holidays, or all-night event days. Since schedules change, check the Open and Start times on each show page, and see whether the event runs into the early hours.
How to get there
The venue is about a 3-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Directions from ticket-site listings:
- Leave through the South Exit of Shimokitazawa Station (Keio Inokashira Line / Odakyu Line).
- Walk straight along the road between the McDonald's and the Kyotaru sushi shop.
- At the first crossroads, look to the left for the building that has First Kitchen on the ground floor.
- CLUB Que is in the basement, two floors down (B2F).
Because shops change over time, keep your map app handy and search for "Shimokitazawa CLUB Que" in case a landmark has moved. It's also very convenient if you're catching the last train, since it's so close to the station.
Tickets and the door
Ticket details are listed on each show's page on the venue's website, and many shows sell tickets through e+ or LivePocket or through the band's own link. Each show page on this site links to the official page when one is available. If you're new to the system, our first-timer's guide explains Adv/Door prices and reservations.
- Drink fee: A separate one-drink fee is usually collected at the entrance. Our live house guide explains how it works.
- Bags: Locker availability isn't clearly listed, so it's safest to travel light or ask the venue.
- Late nights: If you plan to stay for an all-night event, check your last train home. Most trains in Tokyo stop around midnight.
