Daikanyama SPACE ODD Guide: A Two-Floor Brick Venue on the Site of the Old AIR
What first-time visitors need to know about SPACE ODD near Daikanyama and Shibuya: how to get there, the two-floor layout, capacity, lockers, tickets and practical tips.
SPACE ODD is a two-floor live and event hall that opened in June 2016 in the Sarugakucho district, on the site of the former Daikanyama AIR, a club that once helped lead Tokyo's club scene. It handles both live shows and club-style events, and it sits on a quiet street of fashion shops and cafes between Daikanyama and Shibuya.
Info checked against venue listings on October 22, 2026. We could not confirm every detail on the venue's own website, and some listings disagree on capacity, so check the official page for your show.

What it's like
The main hall is on the second basement floor and has a tall, open ceiling. One listing gives the ceiling height as about 5.4 meters and the stage size as about 6.4 by 4.4 meters. The B1 lounge is above the hall, with an open well so you can look down onto the stage from the lounge. Inside, the venue makes heavy use of brick, which gives it a slightly British feel.
Because the hall works for both live music and club events, the schedule is varied, from band tours and one-man shows to club-style events.
How to get there
The name suggests Daikanyama, but the address is in Sarugakucho in Shibuya Ward, roughly equidistant from three stations. Listings give these walking times:
- Daikanyama Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line): about 10 minutes
- Shibuya Station (JR, from the South or West Exit side): about 11 to 12 minutes
- Ebisu Station (West Exit): about 12 minutes
One listing describes the route from Shibuya Station's South Exit: cross Tamagawa-dori by the pedestrian bridge, follow the street beside the railway viaduct for about seven minutes, then turn right at the intersection. The street is quiet, with shops and cafes scattered along it, so keep your map app handy. The venue's exterior is brick with a black metal door.
